Do you accept insurance?

I am currently in network with Ambetter Washington, Regence BlueShield of Washington, Quest Behavioral Health, Cigna, Aetna, Premera Blue Cross Washington, and Carelon Behavioral Health.

Pre-authorization is required. Your insurance is a contract between you and your carrier, so it’s important that you fully understand your benefits. Policies and benefits differ, even from the same carrier. It’s ultimately the client’s responsibility to understand what is and isn’t covered by insurance- and the client is fiscally responsible for co-pays, deductibles, and non-covered services. Because of this, if you’re unsure of your plan it is always wise to contact your insurance’s member services to verify coverage before booking.

What if my insurance isn’t one listed above?

I have begun the credentialing process with Oscar (Optum), United Healthcare (Optum), and Oxford (Optum). This means I should be in network with these carriers soon, and getting on a waitlist or scheduling a free 15 minute consultation call may be helpful to get the ball rolling for you!

If none of these options are your carrier, my private-pay rate is $175 per standard 53-60 minute session.*

*I do offer reduced-fee payment options for those with different financial means. Please contact us for more information on this.

How does online therapy work?

I use HIPPA-compliant software to meet with you via video and audio connection. You’ll be sent an email reminder through Headway for our appointment, and on the day of our session I’ll email you the link to our meeting.

Initially, you can use your computer, laptop, smart phone, or tablet for sessions. However, for those who are doing EMDR Therapy, you will need to use a computer or laptop with headphones (wired ones tend to work best).

For all telehealth sessions you will need a decent internet connection and some privacy. I know that the privacy can be tough these days with how busy everyone is, but you’ll want to be in a private and comfortable space on your own for sessions.

My therapy license does not extend out of Washington State, so you will need to physically be within this state for each of your sessions.

Do you offer phone consultations prior to scheduling a first appointment?

Yes! Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all thing, and with it being so personal it’s important to find a therapist and modality that you connect with. I offer free 15 minute phone consultations before the first appointment is scheduled so that we have a chance to see if we’re a good match.

These phone consultations can be booked by contacting me directly by phone or email-you can also schedule it yourself for a time that fits your busy life on my Headway portal.
